Welcome!
Horta do Baldio is Portuguese for ‘vegetable garden of the community‘. This farm of almost 6 acres has been carrying that name for as long as the oldest available documents show.
Although we live here with just two people, we love to go back to the idea of sharing this exceptional place. For now it’s just us and many different animals, but we would like you to come and enjoy it too.
At the moment we are working hard to bring back the vegetable garden. And we are learning as much as we can about the more than 250 olive trees, all kinds of fruit trees and other plants that grow here. There’s a lot to eat and harvest already.
